SoundScape at New World Center  - a source and a destination for creativity and inspiration. Campus of the New World Symphony, America's Orchestral Academy. And a cultural icon in the center of Miami Beach. The Center is an inimitable foundation for a unique experience, one that you’ll want to share with family and friends.

Designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Frank Gehry, New World Center features numerous spaces for performance and presentation; a flexible and variable seating performance hall, and a 7,000 square foot projection wall on which concerts, video art and films will be shown free-of-charge to audiences in SoundScape, a 2.5 acre public park, designed by Dutch architectural firm West 8.

The FREE SoundScape Cinema Series is presented generously by the Marilyn and Edward Gadinsky Charitable Foundation and held at the new Miami Beach SoundScape ExoStage, corner of 17 Street and Washington Avenue. Movies begin at 8:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Exostage @ Miami Beach SoundScape, 500 17 Street 
The French Embassy Cultural Services (www.frenchculture.org), in partnership with the City of Miami Beach Arts in the Parks (www.mbculture.com) the Miami Beach Cinematheque (http://mbcinema.com/), and Tigertail's FLA-FRA festival (http://www.tigertail.org/events_flafra.html), presents the first edition of "Films on the Beach", featuring outdoor screenings of French films at SoundScape from April 17th to May 15th 2014. All films presented by Films on the Beach are in French, subtitled in English and are free and open to the public. Meals from a local French restaurant will be available on site for purchase during film screening. This first edition will include two programs:
Early Truffaut: The Nouvelle Vague Classics
The two Truffaut films presented are part of the FLA-FRA "Early Truffaut: The Nouvelle Vague Classics" series from April 11th  to April 24th  presented by the Miami Beach Cinematheque. This program also includes Shoot the Piano Player/Tirez sur le pianiste (1960) on Friday, April 11, 7pm, and and Stolen Kisses/Baisers volés (1968) on Saturday, April 12, 7pm which will both be shown at the Miami Beach Cinematheque.

Feline films on the beach
Inspired by recent masterpieces of animation in film, Films on the Beach chose two recent French films starring our feline friends. Presentation of The Rabbi's cat is also part of the Miami Jewish Film Festival's continuous programming (http://miamijewishfilmfestival.net/mjff/)

NWS WALLCASTTM concerts allow you to experience select events throughout the season at Miami Beach SoundScape through a striking use of visual and audio technology on a soaring, 7,000-square-foot projection wall.
